On April 10, 2009 an exterior staircase collapsed at Crane Street Studios, a very large building housing work studios for over 200 artists and artisans in Long Island City (Queens), New York City. Nicole Gagne, a tenant in the building, was seriously injured in the accident. This show is being held to raise funds to help with her immediate expenses. All works will be donated pieces that are original artworks by established and emerging artists. All works will be sold for $40 cash. All proceeds will go to Nicole.

Priska C. Juschka Fine Art was established in 2001 in the cutting-edge area of Williamsburg, Brooklyn. In 2005, the gallery relocated to the Chelsea district of New York City. By representing diverse artists who evoke questions regarding pertinent issues, such as the urban experience and the ever-fluctuating values of contemporary culture, the gallery wishes to create a continuous dialogue with both the local and global community. The gallery's program is comprised of artists working in different mediums, focusing on unique two-dimensional work, as well as groundbreaking site-specific projects.

ARTISTS WANTED!!!
Postcard show and sale of original postcard-sized pieces of artwork created by both emerging and established artists to benefit Nicole Gagne, a fellow artist seriously injured in a staircase collapse in LIC.
Artwork will be sold at $40 per piece. Artists who donate will get excellent exposure in a show in NYC, and collectors walk away with a great piece of original art. All funds raised will go to help Nicole with her immediate expenses.
Submission Deadline: July 23, 2009

Let us know if you plan to participate, and we'll get your name listed on the blog!
Then:
1. Create your 4" x 6" piece of artwork on heavy-weight paper. All media are welcome as long as it is 4" x 6", relatively flat, and can be hung on a wall.
2. Sign and print your name on the back. Also indicate on the back which side should be the top.
3. Pack your artwork. Do not wrap wet or sticky pieces. Use glassine or wax paper to protect your artwork and place between two pieces of cardboard.
4. Fill out the submission form (download here).
5. Include a self-addressed stamped postcard if you want us to send confirmation that we received your piece.
6. If you would like your unsold artwork to be returned to you, please include a 6" x 9" self-addressed stamped envelope (SASE) with the appropriate postage. Unsold artwork will not be returned unless you provide a SASE. Unsold artwork without a SASE will be given away or donated.
7. Send everything to:
